Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Nurse to join our Endoscopy team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to meet patients' needs in accordance with agreed local and national standards and evidence-based guidelines.
- Support and provide patient education and health promotion.
- Be responsible for the delivery and coordination of care, through appropriate professional practice, delegation, and supervision of duties carried out by junior staff.
- Proactively manage risk and maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety, and security legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Registered Nurse with appropriate NMC Registration.
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
- Student nurse working towards a degree.
- NMC recognised mentorship qualification or willingness to work towards following 18 months of commencement in post.
- Student nurse who has undertaken a placement on an Endoscopy unit.
- Knowledge of the area of speciality-Endoscopy; with evidence of and an understanding/knowledge of JAG.
- Evidence of clinical competencies in area of speciality - Endoscopy, including basic nursing competencies - cannulation.
