About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design and manufacture of products at various stages throughout projects.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will provide support to other members of the mechanical team as required and have the potential for progression to a Team Leader position.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Utilize customer-provided CAD data to generate drill file information for fixture manufacture.
  2. Revise and update existing specifications and drawings to incorporate requested design changes from engineering, manufacturing, or quality assurance.
  3. Design new parts or assemblies to meet design requirements using 3D CAD systems.
  4. Liaise with end customers to ensure specifications are met.
  5. Collaborate with existing suppliers and source new suppliers as required.
  6. Support the operation of CNC and Pacer machines as needed.
  7. Operate workshop equipment, such as lathes and mills, if required.
  8. Perform other tasks as necessary.
About You
  1. You hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. You possess experience in both two- and three-dimensional design software.
  3. You have experience with SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD package.
  4. You hold a valid passport and a full driving license.
