Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Our client, a growing company, believes in supporting each other. You will work on a full-time, permanent basis in a fast-paced office with free on-site parking and a café.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Track financial transactions for multiple clients, ensuring accurate postings and explainable entries.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
  • Make supplier and payroll payments using Telleroo.
  • Assist in preparing VAT returns.
  • Perform other bookkeeping duties.
  • Develop working relationships with clients.
  • Utilize excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Complete general administration tasks.
  • Develop an understanding of the Company's methods and standards of work required.
  • Become familiar with the Company's administrative and office procedures.
  • Become familiar with software used by the Company, including Xero and Dext.
  • Take on additional projects/responsibilities as directed.
  • Fulfill measures of effectiveness and meet competencies set for the role.
Requirements:
  • AAT qualified or willing to undertake the AAT qualification.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic bookkeeping and/or accounting experience.
  • Keen to learn.
  • Proficient IT skills and a passion for technology.
  • Team player.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to recognize inconsistencies.
  • Experience working to strict deadlines.
