Job Title: Fresh Produce Buying Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Fresh Produce Buying Assistant to join our team at Woods Foodservice Limited. As a key member of our Fresh Produce Unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting our buyers with administrative tasks, ensuring seamless order processing, and contributing to the growth of our fresh produce range.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist buyers with daily reports, order placement, and credit processing
  • Support the team during busy periods, including driving to the fresh produce market
  • Inspect deliveries, split pallets, and detect any issues with orders
  • Conduct analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide insights to senior buyers
  • Develop strong relationships with Technical, Operations, and Commercial Teams
Requirements:
  • Experience in stock replenishment
  • Preferred experience in buying fresh produce
  • Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points
  • Confident driving 3.5 tonne vans
  • Forklift license
  • Understanding of the supply chain process
