Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team at QA. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical advice, support, and assistance to clients, both remotely and occasionally on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide a full range of technical advice, support, and practical assistance to clients, including troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues.
  • Service Desk Management: Manage and maintain the service desk portal, logging and tracking support queries and issues.
  • Procedure Development: Create and maintain procedures for new and existing processes, ensuring that they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Knowledge Base Management: Update and maintain online knowledge bases, ensuring that they are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with external partners to resolve IT-related issues and improve service delivery.
  • Issue Resolution: Utilize the ticket system to accurately log, manage, document, and resolve IT issues in line with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Requirements:

  • Education: 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject, including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
  • Experience: No prior experience is required, but a combination of qualifications and experience that demonstrates the minimum foundation needed for the programme may be considered.
  • International Qualifications: If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9.00 to 17.30, with an hour for lunch.
