About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Specialist Theatre Practitioner to join our busy Operating Theatre Department. This is a permanent role that offers a range of opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the management of the department, providing leadership and support to the theatre team.
  • Deputise for the team leader as required, ensuring seamless operation of the department.
  • Provide professional leadership and support in critical care areas, promoting best practice and educational development.
  • Act in accordance with the NMC/HCP Professional Code of Conduct, ensuring accurate, confidential, and secure processing of patient and staff information.
  • Assist in budgetary management, ensuring effective use of resources.
Requirements
  • Registration with the NMC/HPC as a Registered Nurse or Midwife.
  • Notable years post-registration experience, with a strong track record of managing theatre teams.
  • Experience in specified areas, including adults, paediatrics, general surgery, and more.
  • Recognised teaching qualification and post-basic qualification to minimum diploma standard or equivalent level gained by experience.
