Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team at Blue Arrow in Derby. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking and packing goods quickly and efficiently
  • Moving pallets using manual pump trucks
  • Building boxes and preparing items for delivery
  • Labelling products
  • Quality checking of products
  • Using hand-held scanners and paper to pick items
  • Working towards targets and deadlines individually and within a team
  • Reporting any issues to the relevant person
  • Keeping your workstation clean and tidy
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles carefully
  • Wrapping pallets of products and unwrapping
  • Carrying out stock checks using electronic handheld scanners
  • General warehousing duties

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods
  • High levels of numeracy and literacy
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team environment
