Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Control Engineer to join our team at Forest Rock, a UK-based tech company developing innovative solutions for the Internet of Things. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in deploying IoT systems in commercial buildings and facilities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with our team to design, develop, and deploy IoT systems in commercial buildings and facilities.
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK, as well as work from our central office location.
  • Develop control systems and solutions across various industrial sectors, including commercial buildings, retail, hospitality, renewable energy, and power generation sites.
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services using innovative ideas and the latest technologies.

Requirements

  • Some knowledge of IT systems, networks, serial communications, Modbus, or Bacnet protocols.
  • Experience with control systems, telecommunications, automation, or integrated systems.
  • Knowledge of HV, Power Management, Metering, and SCADA systems.
  • Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or Degree in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant trade skills training.
  • Ability to work away from home on a regular basis and have your own transport.
