About the Role:

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to lead and enhance a newly established team of flood risk experts. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage projects related to flood risk assessment, hydrology, and hydraulic modelling.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Develop and pursue new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients across the region.
  • Review and refine technical outputs related to flood risk, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), and climate change adaptation strategies.
  • Expand the capabilities of the team while ensuring high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a robust academic foundation in a relevant field and be on the path to achieving Chartered status. Extensive experience within a UK-based consultancy focusing on flood risk management, drainage, or river engineering is essential.
