About the Role

As a Technical Program Manager at Expedia, Inc., you will play a critical role in driving the execution of technical projects within or across a small set of teams. Your expertise will enable the team to focus on technical delivery, while you act as a force multiplier to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile ceremonies without supervision, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to apply Agile engineering methods, such as Extreme Programming and Feature Driven Development.
  • Track project schedules by gathering input from working teams and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress and changes to task timing to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain program/project documentation and conduct meetings as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through issue tracking and mitigation plans.
  • Monitor and report on project budgets as required.
  • Lead technical projects under supervision, applying holistic strategies to understand policy and process standardization.
  • Execute tasks and provide data to support the implementation of holistic solutions that integrate structure, people, process, and technology.
  • Support the product development lifecycle, bringing products to market by executing different phases and improving product performance.
  • Facilitate conversations regarding product development lifecycle within your immediate team.
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs and begin to develop skills to help customers understand business challenges.
  • Anticipate the needs of different audience groups in the business unit/function that receive technical communications.
  • Contribute to cross-team collaboration, ensuring the best available information is included in analysis and sharing findings with peers and leaders.
  • Relevant experience or higher education is required.
