NPD Process Technologist Opportunity

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading food manufacturer to fill a key role in their New Product Development (NPD) department.

This exciting opportunity is for an NPD Process Technologist to join their team at their facility in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the transition of products from concept to market launch, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to meet deadlines, manage resources, and maintain quality and regulatory standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, driving operational efficiencies, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure timely and efficient production trials.
  • Coordinate pre-production and launch preparation, ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution.
  • Work with technical, commercial, and operations teams to ensure products meet agreed specifications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of settings for all machinery and product manuals.
  • Collaborate with the Technical team to establish effective processes for full-scale production.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Food science degree or equivalent.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Food Safety and HACCP qualifications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet deadlines.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE.
