Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Business Lecturer to join our team. As a Business Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching a range of modules, tutorials, and seminars, as well as working with organizations to develop our activities and undertaking administrative duties as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of module/unit specific schemes of work.
  • Design and deliver subject-specific sessions in line with learning objectives and syllabuses.
  • Deploy assessments appropriately, as set out by the assessment team.
  • Set out measures to understand the learning needs of students in their modules.
  • Enter attendance registers for each session as prescribed by the policies of Victoria College of Arts and Design.
  • Support students with timely formative feedback to the extent prescribed by each of the programme specifications.
  • Mark and provide summative feedback within the prescribed deadline published by the assessment team.
  • Ensure that all expectations of the programme specifications of the respective awarding bodies and universities under which modules are being taught.
  • Produce appropriate module or unit reports.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Contribute to the Business School's Research Department at the Holborn campus.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area.
  • Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc.
  • Previous lecturing experience in HEI.
  • Experience in using Blackboard / VLEs and other learning platforms.
  • Industrial experiences.

Desirable Requirements

  • 3 years' experience working in the creative industry of your subject.
