Job Summary

Pinsent Masons is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious 7+ years PQE Intellectual Property lawyer to join our Intellectual Property team in London.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented lawyer with a strong technical background and a passion for patent litigation, including oppositions before the European Patent Office. The ideal candidate will have a first degree in a scientific discipline or technical discipline and be able to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patent litigation and oppositions before the European Patent Office
  • Advise clients on freedom to operate and strategic business critical litigation
  • Manage intellectual property and optimize returns and investment
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Pinsent Masons' international offices

Pinsent Masons has a highly respected and experienced IP team, one of the largest in the UK, advising a wide range of life sciences, blue chip technology, manufacturing, and retail companies on business critical IP litigation and intellectual property rights.

Our Expertise

We have extensive experience in handling challenging IP disputes, including precedent-setting actions before the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, and CJEU. Our team has a strong pan-EU offering in respect of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and has been involved in 3 cases before the Supreme Court.
