Risk Data Governance Manager

Aquent is seeking a Risk Data Governance Manager to provide second-line oversight and ensure that all data sources within our client's Risk & Compliance Services are managed, governed, and presented securely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement data governance standards and policies, embedding a comprehensive controls framework within all risk taxonomies.
- Provide independent oversight of data governance processes managed by first and second line teams, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and completeness.
- Assess critical data processes, establishing Key Data Elements (KDEs) and driving the design and implementation of a data lineage discipline.
- Review existing data processes and controls, recommending and driving improvements to ensure data used by machine learning models and AI in 1LoD products is governed by best-in-class risk management.
- Monitor progress on global data governance actions and initiate remediation steps when necessary, collaborating with other risk teams to align on the control framework.
- Oversee the integrity of data used for Management Information (MI) and data-driven risk and compliance insights.
- Strong risk management experience, ideally in operational, regulatory, or compliance settings.
- Experience in leading data governance programs with a focus on data integrity and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with urgency and precision.
- Proficiency in articulating the three lines of risk management model and defining ownership roles.
- Data analysis and document writing skills to drive improvement and present insights.
- Pragmatic risk approach—balancing risk mitigation activities with resource levels and risk appetite.
