Job Title: Quality Process Improvement Engineer

We are supporting a business in their search for a Quality Process Improvement Engineer, with an intimate knowledge of CMM programming and operation, as well as GD& T.

Our client is an industry-leading manufacturer of precision tooling and component moulds, supplying into multiple sectors such as aerospace and others, based in Rochdale.

Description

As the Quality Process Improvement Engineer, you will be tasked with the following:

  • Performing measurements on precision components using GD& T, CMM operation to ensure product specifications are accurate and of the expected standard
  • The programming of the CMM (Calypso & Aberlink)
  • Mentor a team of lab technicians in order to bring them up to speed with the CMM programming/operation
  • Drive continuous improvement using quality tools to perform investigations (8 D, 5 Y's, 5 S, A3, Fishbone etc.) and ensure the product and process quality is efficient across production
Profile

A successful Quality Process Improvement Engineer must have:

  • Right to work within the UK
  • Demonstrable experience of CMM Programming and Operation (Calypso/Aberlink)
  • Have used techniques such as GD& T to be able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of quality control systems and methodologies
  • The ability to mentor and lead a small team
Job Offer

An attractive salary ranging between £35,000 - £47,000 per annum

40 hour per week, Monday - Friday (Flexible)
