About the Role

R53 Suspension, a leading motorsport company, is seeking a talented Project Design Engineer to oversee and manage projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new damper designs and drawings suitable for production
  • Conduct research and development activities
  • Design and develop suspension and damper components and systems
  • Oversee the transition from design to prototype build
  • Operate the damper dyno for research and development activities
  • Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and rigs
  • Produce technical manuals
  • Generate and maintain bill of materials
Requirements
  • Technical expertise in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD systems such as CREO, Solidworks, or CATIA
  • Familiarity with data analysis using Excel
  • Ability to use CAD system-based FEA and kinematics tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Adaptability and technical proficiency
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics and electro-hydraulic systems (desirable)
  • Experience in damper design (desirable)
