Position: Electric Battery Assembly Specialist (Contract)

Contract Overview:

Our client is a forward-thinking organization focused on advancing electric propulsion technologies and intellectual assets for the burgeoning electrification sector in aerospace.

They are at the forefront of developing innovative solutions for hybrid and fully electric propulsion systems tailored for Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and General Aviation (GA).


Key Responsibilities:
* Execute manufacturing, evaluation, and inspection processes on high-performance battery systems within the production environment, ensuring compliance with product certification standards, budgetary constraints, and project schedules.
* Operate adhesive application and ultrasonic bonding machinery.
* Assemble mechanical components and integrate printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electrical wiring.
* Prepare components for assembly and maintain comprehensive build documentation for traceability.
* Participate in the enhancement of battery assembly methodologies and risk assessments.
* Support the establishment of battery assembly facilities and operational equipment.
* Adhere to organizational Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies to promote a secure workplace.

Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
* Adaptable work style with a proactive, positive mindset.
* Competence in MS Office applications (experience with Jira & Confluence is a plus).
* Familiarity with quality management systems.
* Exceptional attention to detail and proficient manual skills.
* Background in machine operation and mechanical assembly.
* Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent in an engineering field.
* Basic understanding of electrical principles.
