About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hydrogeologist to join our Water Team in Glasgow as an Associate Director or Technical Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of hydrogeologists, providing technical guidance and direction, and contributing to the development of our projects in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical and financial management of water-focused projects and the water elements of multi-disciplinary projects across the UK and international business.
  • Technical guidance and direction of other team members' work, including inputs to planning applications and permit support.
  • Commercial review of tenders and delivery of reports.
  • Proposal writing, project management, client liaison, business development, and team management.
  • Providing senior support to site works as required.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years relevant post-graduate experience.
  • Experience of delivering water projects on budget and to deadline.
  • Experience of successfully negotiating with environmental regulators.
  • Experience of managing people.
  • Experience of delivering commercially astute water element fee proposals for inter-disciplinary projects for clients.
  • Knowledge of UK water-related legislation and guidance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Relevant undergraduate qualification (essential).
  • MSc in Hydrogeology (desirable).
  • Chartered status (desirable).
  • A full UK driving licence.
