Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team. As a Cost Controller, you will play a critical role in supporting major projects and organizations in delivering accurate and timely project information.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost control data structures to accurately track and control actual costs.
- Establish and set project control budgets aligned with agreed baselines.
- Track and control actual costs against cost control structures.
- Monitor and control project accruals and commitments against set budget constraints.
- Build project forecasts, including estimated work to complete (ETC) and estimate at complete (EAC).
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of all project information, including Earned Value Management.
- Track project contingency and exposure associated with risk events and remaining risks on the project.
- Monitor project change control to ensure alignment with agreed baselines and control data structures.
- Identify and track key project trends to inform future change controls.
Requirements
Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with five to ten years of experience in delivering project controls services for major projects or programs.
Desirable Skills
Delivered cost engineering across a range of major projects, preferably across multiple sectors and internationally. Experience working across the full project lifecycle, including pre-investment decision, design development, execution, and commissioning phases.
Highly conversant with cost management systems, such as Prism and Ecosys, including interface with corporate finance systems like SAP and Oracle.
Appreciation of business rules and how project funding and performance aligns with business financial account requirements within the project or program environment.
