Imperial College London: Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Imperial College London's Health Centre as a Consultant Psychiatrist. The Health Centre is an independent NHS GP practice based in South Kensington, providing a range of primary care services and a multidisciplinary mental health team offering various therapies, workshops, and support for students' studies.

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide high-quality clinical assessments, advice, and onward referrals to the College's students. The post-holder will use expert knowledge and evidence-based guidance to formulate care plans and prescribe appropriate treatments to service users.

The ideal candidate will have a General Medical Council licence and membership of the MRCPsych. Experience of working in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings, as well as managing complex clinical cases, is essential. We also encourage applications from those who have experience of working in NHS Primary Care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the efficient running of the in-house mental health service.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians to support Imperial College services users as required.
  • Advise on the management of complex cases and provide appropriate follow-up.
  • Provide 3 hours of direct clinical contact time per week, with written feedback provided within a timely manner.
  • Comply with Practice policies and procedures and participate in service evaluations.
