Job Title: Network Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Network Service Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the mains network, including controlling burst mains and ensuring isolation of mains for planned work, emergency repairs, and maintenance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to queries and complaints, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure water quality compliance during repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Act as a local network expert, providing information for risk assessments and sharing knowledge regarding network risks and other Health & Safety issues.
  • Investigate and resolve poor asset performance, including high or low pressure, leakage, metering queries, and loss of supply.
  • Work in compliance with Company procedures, including Business Operating Plan, Health & Safety, and streetworks legislation.
Requirements:
  • A clean UK driving license and willingness to drive between jobs.
  • Previous customer service experience in a constantly changing environment.
  • Previous experience in domestic plumbing or water mains and leakage is advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided.
  • NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds / GCSE) or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Excellent IT skills, including communication via a portable device.
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills.
  • A can-do and positive attitude.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary from £25,120 to £37,500 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Annual Leave - 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
  • Contributory pension - Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% - 2x employee contribution.
