Job Summary:
We are currently representing a role on behalf of our client based in the East Yorkshire region.

The Role:

  • This is an opportunity to join a dynamic organization within the food production sector, where you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the company's purchasing strategy to support its strategic growth objectives while managing the overall daily procurement operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate optimal terms to ensure that the supply chain and products align with the business goals.
  • Take overall responsibility for guaranteeing that the organization maintains a supply of ingredients and packaging within the established targets.
  • Oversee and evaluate supplier performance based on cost-effectiveness, quality, and delivery reliability.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers in accordance with the company's sourcing and sustainability initiatives.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
  • Conduct market analysis and cost assessments to uncover potential savings opportunities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a procurement role within the food production industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and experience with categories, contract law, and tracking methods for commodities or raw materials.
