We are seeking a Sourcing and Procurement Expert to become a vital member of our Procurement team based in our dynamic London Hub office.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Group Procurement Director, you will oversee the procurement processes for both direct and indirect expenditures across our various UK locations. This essential position focuses on enhancing procurement strategies and supplier partnerships, excluding raw materials, finished goods, and transportation categories. Your role will involve managing sourcing projects, negotiating advantageous agreements, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers. Your skills will be instrumental in securing favorable commercial terms, realizing cost savings, and delivering procurement advantages for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management

• Oversee and optimize an annual budget of £10 million.

• Manage both indirect and direct spending for the designated business unit.

• Collaborate with two manufacturing units, one distribution center, and our headquarters.

• Engage with approximately 600 suppliers.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Develop and sustain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align procurement goals with organizational objectives.

Sourcing Leadership:

• Spearhead assigned sourcing projects, managing market tenders and supplier assessments.

• Structure agreements effectively to fulfill business requirements, ensuring value through strategic deal formulation.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

• Negotiate agreements to secure optimal commercial conditions, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to corporate guidelines.

• Prepare contracts based on established terms and conditions.

Supplier Relationship Development:

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key suppliers to encourage long-term collaborations.

• Monitor supplier performance and address any concerns to uphold quality and service standards.

Compliance and Process Adherence:

• Ensure compliance with corporate standards, utilizing defined sourcing tools and methodologies.

• Confirm that procurement activities align with company policies and procedures.

• Occasional travel to various UK locations may be required.

Cost Savings and Efficiency:

• Identify and implement strategies to achieve savings and enhance procurement benefits through innovative and efficient sourcing.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably CIPS or a related procurement qualification)

• Demonstrated experience in procurement.

• Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management and procurement methodologies.

• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Ability to formulate and execute strategic purchasing plans.

• Familiarity with risk management and mitigation techniques.

• Dedication to innovation and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Minimum of 5 years relevant procurement experience in both indirect and direct categories.

• Proficient in English – knowledge of French is an advantage.

• Competent in computer applications (MS Office).

• Understanding and experience with internal manufacturing systems.

• Experience in project and personnel management.
