Energy Modeller Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Modeller to join our team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd. As an Energy Modeller, you will play a key role in optimizing building performance and reducing carbon emissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed energy modelling using IES software to identify opportunities for energy efficiency.
  • Conduct TM59 assessments to evaluate the risk of overheating in residential buildings and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate energy-efficient design strategies and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Provide sustainability advice and solutions for various projects, including commercial, residential, and public sector developments.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and provide recommendations based on modelling outcomes, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in IES software for energy modelling and experience with Part O and TM59 assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and sustainability frameworks, including AD Part L, Part F, and Part O.
  • Experience in providing energy modelling and sustainability consulting services on commercial, residential, and public sector projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
