Spire Southampton Hospital is seeking a dedicated Catering Support Specialist to enhance our Hospitality Team. This role is designed for individuals who can work flexibly across various shifts, providing essential food and beverage services.
As a Catering Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and delivery of meals to patients, medical staff, and visitors. You will engage in basic food preparation and ensure high standards of service.
Our catering services encompass the colleague dining area, reception snack zone, patient rooms, and events hosted on the premises.
Spire Southampton Hospital is renowned for its exceptional healthcare services, drawing patients from across the region and beyond. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding cardiac care and maintaining a robust Critical Care department supported by a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, presentation, and serving of food and beverages to meet established standards for staff, patients, and visitors. Provide food service in both the dining area and patient wards. Take customer orders while accommodating special dietary needs and preferences. Manage stock effectively through rotation, date checks, and ensuring packaging integrity. Adhere to health and safety regulations in line with current legislation. Perform general cleaning and dishwashing duties as part of kitchen operations.Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience in a catering or food service role. Strong communication abilities. Capacity to build rapport with diverse customers. Commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
