About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a Band 4 Flow Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Emergency Department nursing team to facilitate the transfer and/or discharge of patients, ensuring a smooth flow of patients through the department.
  • Review referrals to other wards/specialties and the ambulance service, anticipating and escalating any issues that may cause delays.
  • Communicate effectively with wards to confirm availability of beds, as noted by site management.
  • Support members of the multi-disciplinary team with patient discharge arrangements, including booking transport when required.

Requirements
  • Education to A-level or NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration/Customer Care/HNC in Business or acquired relevant equivalent experience.
  • Experience of using full range of IT systems and patient data systems.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and customer care.
  • Ability to work for long periods on computer and maintain a professional approach.
