Core Linux Engineer - Quantitative Trading

We are seeking a highly skilled Core Linux Engineer to join our team at Quant Capital, a leading quantitative trading firm. As a Core Linux Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing best-in-class Linux systems that power our complex proprietary trading systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance Linux systems for quantitative trading
  • Develop and maintain Linux-based automation tools for trading systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux technologies and advancements
  • Contribute to the development of Linux-based solutions for trading platforms

Requirements:

  • Strong background in STEM education, preferably Computer Science
  • Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting
  • Experience with modern Linux concepts, such as C, sockets, and virtual memory
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Strong understanding of debugging tools, such as gdp, perf, and DTrace
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
