Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Field Engineer to join our team at Mfkrecruitment. As an IT Support Field Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting primary schools on a rota and carrying out hardware/software installations, basic administration, health checks, fault troubleshooting, minor repairs, and maintenance of peripherals and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure hardware and software solutions in primary schools
  • Perform routine health checks and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance of peripherals and network infrastructure
  • Work closely with ICT coordinators to ensure seamless technical support
  • Provide excellent customer-facing skills to non-technical users
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Troubleshooting network connectivity issues including wireless
  • Strong customer-facing qualities and ability to explain technical issues in plain English
  • Ability to prioritize jobs and approach them in a logical manner
  • Highly motivated and able to use own initiative to tackle issues
  • Own transport required
  • CRB/DBS desirable but will be required (we will pay for DBS check on commencement of employment)
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019/2022
  • Experience with Windows 10, 11
  • Experience with Office 2013/2016/2019/365
