Job Description

Fastmarkets is a leading provider of price reporting, events, and intelligence services for global commodities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Markets Editor to join our team and drive our PRA strategy in the biofuels and feedstock markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-level content, engaging with the industry, and acting as an ambassador for the Fastmarkets brand. This is a highly collaborative leadership position that requires strong communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a content strategy to drive market engagement and visibility in the biofuels and feedstock markets
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to produce high-quality content, including market reports, focus pieces, and interviews
  • Work with the marketing team to align content with strategic goals and promote the Fastmarkets brand
  • Identify and develop new price launches, including determining specifications, methodology, and data submission pools
  • Provide guidance and support to reporters and editorial operations to ensure a joined-up approach to high-impact strategic content
  • Collaborate with the events team to grow delegate lists and create compelling agendas for content-driven events
Requirements
  • Strong journalism skills and writing flair
  • Experience working in a PRA and pricing a benchmark or developing prices
  • Deep knowledge of the battery raw materials market or associated markets
  • Ability to operate at the highest levels internally within a matrix management structure and with external stakeholders
  • Public speaking experience or demonstrable ability to do so with confidence and authority
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills to assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
