Freelance Senior Site Manager

M Group Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Manager to join our team in the UK Power Networks contract in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our Substation Build Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction projects from commencement to final completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Act as the principal contactor for the client, maintaining open communication and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Manage day-to-day site operations, including personnel, subcontractors, and materials.
- Develop and implement safety documentation, including Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
- Identify training requirements for site personnel and provide mentoring and training to junior staff.
- Procure materials using computer-based systems and ensure compliance with Morrison procedures and current legislation.
- Monitor and audit subcontractor performance and deliver complex High Voltage projects across multiple sites.
Requirements:
- Qualified to HNC / Degree Level in Construction, Civil Engineering, or an Electrical discipline or equivalent.
- CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme.
- UK Power Networks Sub Station Entry.
- A background in construction and the electricity industry.
- IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Full driving license.
