Role Overview

This role is pivotal in providing Quality Assurance support for manufacturing operations in Lincoln, facilitating collaboration between the B1 Virus Production and Biological Process Manufacturing (BPM) teams. Responsibilities include delivering on-the-floor Quality Assurance functions for virus production, formulation, filling, lyophilization, and capping operations through real-time batch record assessments and process evaluations. The position reports to the Team Leader of Quality Assurance Operations B1/Pharma and involves frequent interaction with manufacturing colleagues and area Team Leads.

Work Schedule: 1st shift, with potential off-shift availability as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine batch record reviews for designated support areas within set timelines, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory standards and product registrations.
  • Monitor reviews and releases to support metrics for the functional QA area.
  • Collaborate with QA Operations Compliance Specialists to execute and document process checks and audits in manufacturing areas.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

Job level determined by years of relevant experience:

For the GJL 020-1 level:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

For the GJL 020-2 level:

  • Associate degree
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience at the OTE Lead level or higher, in Manufacturing or Quality Operations.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, with a strong ability to adhere to established procedures.
  • Proven organizational and administrative skills, along with the capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects effectively.
  • Effective communication skills to facilitate completion requests and reviews from all levels to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity and experience with SAP.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on most tasks.
  • Background in manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and/or regulatory affairs.
  • Previous experience with batch record evaluations.
  • Ability to devise solutions to routine issues by following established procedures.

Physical Requirements of the Position

  • Capability to lift materials weighing up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk as required.
  • Occasional overtime may be necessary.
  • Compliance with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements in manufacturing and packaging areas is mandatory.
