Job Title: Construction Designer

Consult Construct Limited is a leading independent multi-disciplinary firm of Surveyors and Project Managers providing a range of professional construction services. As a Construction Designer, you will have the opportunity to shape your role within the business while working alongside other staff, including Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, and Architects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and advise on construction phase health and safety plans provided by contractors.
  • Attend construction and maintenance sites to undertake safety inspections.
  • Produce and submit safety reports to contractors.
  • Identify risks during the design and construction stages of a project.
  • Produce and maintain design risk registers.
  • Review design drawings and highlight risks to consultants and contractors.
  • Attend design and site progress meetings.
  • Advise clients, designers, and contractors regarding their duties under CDM regulations.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH certificate or ability to attain quickly.
  • Membership of the Association for Project Safety (APS) or ability to join quickly.
  • Some experience of working in the construction industry within a main contractor or consultancy.
  • Driving licence and use of own car.
