ROLE OBJECTIVE
The Senior Copy Strategist will join our global Copy Team, which comprises nearly 60 talented individuals worldwide. This role is pivotal in generating, refining, and executing copy and communications for a leading platform in rides, meals, and local deliveries. You will oversee teams and high-profile projects, acting as a crucial link between Creative, Client Services, the Group Account Director, and clients, ensuring that our high standards are consistently met.
KEY DUTIES
- Refine and enhance copy to align with client expectations and brand standards while captivating and converting audiences.
- Generate innovative ideas and concepts across multiple channels as necessary.
- Maintain adherence to clients' tone of voice and brand identity.
- Conduct competitor and trend research for creative inspiration.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions within the Creative team.
- Guide and mentor Copywriters, shaping their contributions.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies in collaboration with the team.
- Proactively establish guidelines and policies to elevate copy quality.
- Serve as a brand steward, mastering brand guidelines to discern on-brand and off-brand elements for clients.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Copy Director, Group Account Director, and stakeholders across regions to develop and define brand tone of voice across territories.
- Direct Copywriters in crafting top-tier communications, integrating copy and design best practices across all platforms including email, web, display, in-app, and social media.
- Approve final creative outputs for regional projects and across accounts.
- Continuously assess and refine all creative work to boost conversions and actively seek new opportunities, innovations, and trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6–7+ years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of multi-channel digital copy and brand evolution.
- Outstanding writing abilities with a proven history of producing compelling marketing and content copy that drives sales.
- Confidence in collaborating with various departments and stakeholders, including designers, developers, and clients.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills; meticulous attention to detail in copy.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing large marketing campaigns with numerous assets.
- Understanding of the significance of consistency across different user journey touchpoints.
- Capability to present work to large audiences and articulate ideas clearly and enthusiastically.
- A collaborative mindset towards achieving objectives.
- Experience in managing and mentoring at various levels.
- Extensive background in an agency, publication, or brand is essential.
- Fluency in regional language (English).
- Ability to define and develop tone of voice and brand narrative for clients.
- Experience working with global brands, teams, and departments is preferred.
- A holistic view of creative; strong understanding of the interplay between copy and design; ability to see and enhance the overarching messaging.
- Confidence in addressing client concerns, negotiating with stakeholders, and communicating across various departments and teams.
