Job Title: Wind Turbine Technician

Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team in Thurso, Highland. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct unscheduled maintenance, retrofits, and emergency breakdown repairs.
  • Replace major turbine components, such as generators and gearboxes.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Assist in all areas of site operations.
  • Provide safe access and egress to all personnel in the work party.
  • Comply with customer site rules.
  • Report all incidents and occurrences as per Deutsche Windtechnik company Health and Safety policy.
  • Participate in the rota for on-call cover on weekends and bank holidays.
Requirements:
  • Relevant formal qualifications, minimum SVQ/NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical, etc.) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry.
  • Ideal two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, such as wind farms, power stations, or industrial process plant.
  • Valid driving license.
