Aspiring Psychology Teacher Program

A fantastic Secondary School in the Borough of Westminster is seeking an Aspiring Psychology Teacher for a permanent contract. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of £26,500-£36,500, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will work across the Psychology Department, supporting KS4-5 lessons and focusing on attainment and quality of learning. This is an ideal opportunity for a Psychology Graduate looking to gain experience before enrolling onto teacher training.

The Head Teacher is looking for a Psychology Graduate with a degree in one of the following subjects:

  • Psychology
  • Psychology with Counselling
  • Forensic Psychology
  • Social Psychology
  • Criminology and Psychology
  • Philosophy and Psychological Studies
  • Social Sciences (Psychology)
  • Computing & IT and Psychology
  • Combined STEM (Psychology)
  • Childhood and Youth Studies (Psychology)

The school offers a Salaried Schools Direct opportunity, allowing the successful candidate to enrol onto a teacher training program starting in 2025 or 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting KS4-5 lessons in the Psychology Department
  • Working with students to raise attainment and improve quality of learning
  • Carrying out GCSE and A Level interventions
  • Enrolling onto the Salaried Schools Direct program
Requirements:
  • Desirable degree in one of the above subjects from a reputable University
  • Good A Levels and GCSEs across the board
  • Confidence in knowledge of the GCSE and A Level curriculum
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
