Job Description

Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisor

Job Type: Part-Time, Term Time Only

Hours: 15 hours per week

Setting: Specialist Primary School for Children with Emotional, Social, and Mental Health Needs (Key Stage 1 & 2)

About the Role:

  1. Supervise children during their lunchtime break, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
  2. Encourage and support children to engage in appropriate play and social interactions.
  3. Work collaboratively with school staff to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
  4. Provide a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all pupils.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working with children with emotional, social, and behavioral difficulties is highly desirable.
  2. Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  3. A caring, empathetic, and patient nature with the ability to engage and connect with children.
  4. Availability to work Monday to Friday during term time, from 11:30am to 2:30pm.
  5. Commitment to the safety and well-being of all pupils, ensuring supervision aligns with the school's policies and procedures.
