Job Title: Building Services Engineer

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team in the City of London. As a Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in a critical/commercial building.

Responsibilities:
  1. Respond to service desk reactive tasks as directed in accordance with SLAs.
  2. Undertake reactive maintenance, minor works, and public health maintenance, including blocked toilets.
  3. Investigate and rectify hot and cold air conditioning complaints, including operation of the Building Management System (BMS) and Lighting Control System (LCS).
  4. Complete water treatment tasks in accordance with L8, utilizing the water treatment logbooks as directed by the Responsible Person(s), reporting any issues without delay.
  5. Undertake minor fabric maintenance works, covering areas such as painting, furniture moving, etc.
  6. Carry out minor mechanical installations, as and when requested and supervised.
  7. Identify, manage, and report any risks, accidents, or near misses in a timely manner.
  8. Work with and escort contractors during maintenance visits, ensuring that working guidelines are always followed and assisting with the quarterly inspection undertaken by the water treatment consultant.
  9. Respond quickly and effectively to any building alarms received from the helpdesk or BMS, escalating alarms where necessary, and recording all reactive tasks in the shift log.

Requirements:

Essential:
Mechanically or electrically qualified Level 2 / 3 / HNC / HND
18th Edition if electrically qualified
You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
Excellent customer skills

Highly desirable (Not essential):
Any further qualifications (i.e. Electrical or Air Conditioning etc)
Experience working in a bank/data centre/commercial office
High Voltage - Experience/Qualification - Current or expired
