Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Electrophysiology and Inherited Arrhythmia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, individualized care to children, young people, and their families with complex cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care to patients with inherited arrhythmias, including SVT, atrial tachycardia, and Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, as well as channelopathies such as Long QT, Brugada syndrome, and CPVT.
- Work closely with the genetic counseling team to provide support and education to families with genetic conditions.
- Collaborate with the pacing department to coordinate remote downloads of patients' pacemakers/ICDs and review results with the pacing team.
- Provide telephone support to parents and patients, managing symptoms, discussing new symptoms, and advising on medication management and treatment plans.
- Coordinate investigations and follow-up care for patients in the community, including AliveCor monitoring and holter monitor results.
- Work closely with local social care authorities, schools, and community teams to provide support and education to patients and families.
- Participate in service development and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Experience in paediatric cardiology and electrophysiology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer skills, including Windows, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Kind and compassionate approach to patient care.
