Coventry, Coventry, United Kingdom REE Automotive Full time

Position Overview

REE Automotive (Nasdaq: REE) is at the forefront of transforming electric mobility, aspiring to set the benchmark for electric vehicles. Our groundbreaking corner technology facilitates a completely flat and modular chassis, accommodating mission-specific electric vehicles ranging from class 1 to class 6, catering to both commercial applications and personal transport.

We are in search of a Program Manager to bolster REE's swift expansion and developmental initiatives on a global scale. This pivotal role will report directly to the Programs Lead.

The Program Manager will play an essential role in ensuring the successful management of assigned programs with a focus on a 'non-event launch' approach. This individual will be responsible for orchestrating all program activities and formulating a unified plan that aligns with the company's critical path priorities. This includes internal coordination among REE's departments and partners while embodying REE's commitment to organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a Program Management strategy, methodologies, and tools/processes that foster a 'Non-Event Launch' mentality.
  • Oversee, lead, and monitor programs to ensure execution and delivery in accordance with established scope and plans.
  • Develop dynamic plans that accommodate uncertainty while identifying critical paths; track and follow up on program progress.
  • Facilitate and lead internal and external meetings as necessary, covering a range of topics from technical discussions to program planning and escalations.
  • Establish and assess program performance metrics, including launch readiness indicators.
  • Initiate and cultivate new cross-company processes to promote continuous improvement; lead reviews of program lessons learned.
  • Identify resources required to achieve objectives and coordinate efforts across teams.
  • Provide regular program status updates detailing deliveries, challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct briefings and technical meetings for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage all assigned projects within the organizational unit.
  • Guide the organization to meet critical timelines and assist in resolving complex technical or operational challenges.
  • Oversee budget development and execution.

Team Leadership

Promote REE's Culture of Organizational Excellence in all endeavors.

Set goals and objectives for the department, including mentoring and training to develop all new and existing team members.

Conduct performance evaluations for all direct reports to assess their effectiveness in fulfilling their roles.

Initiate OKRs and associated KPIs related to departmental performance and strategic growth, aiming for world-class status.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of REE. As a startup, this can vary significantly and is one of the advantages of our dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (master's preferred) or a related technical field, or equivalent vocational training with relevant experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in the automotive industry, with proven relevant expertise.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Electric Vehicle ecosystem.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings or CAD models.
  • Strong business acumen, particularly in growing organizations and best practices.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to devise innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Team-oriented, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in common workplace software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment, with a track record of fostering new businesses in a startup or rapidly growing technology company.
  • Experience in national and international roles is preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, familiar with various methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of inspection tools.
  • Strong motivation to support the company's mission is essential for success.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
