About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at YASA Limited, a leading company in the electric motor revolution. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of our electric motor technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Root Cause Analysis: Determine the root causes of reported faults using recognized analysis processes, such as 8D, Five Whys, and Fault Tree analysis.
  • Investigation and Reporting: Document investigations accurately and thoroughly to produce high-quality engineering reports in a timely manner.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and assist the career development of Fault Analysis Engineer direct reports, providing guidance and support to Fault Analysis Engineers within the team.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant engineering qualification, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience: Have experience in fault or failure investigation, or of test or development in a similar, relevant environment, such as automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering.
  • Skills: Have practical experience in the use and application of electric or other rotational machines, and a working knowledge and understanding of the properties of a range of engineering materials and their applications.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess a flexible approach and the ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, with a willingness to travel as required.
