As a Senior Gardener, you will play a key role in maintaining the exceptional standards of our gardens, leading by example and inspiring others to follow your passion for horticulture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the gardening team in the day-to-day management of the garden, ensuring it remains in tiptop condition.
  • Supervise and train new staff and volunteers, sharing your expertise and knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
  • Build positive working relationships across the site, communicating effectively with colleagues and visitors.
  • Contribute to the development of the garden, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing new ideas.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in horticulture, with a strong understanding of plant care and management.
  • Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and visitors.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and practices.
