Job Title: Pest Control Supervisor

Location: Covering the South East

Job Purpose:
To carry out City's Statutory duties in connection with pest control. Provide solutions and services to eradicate insect, bird and rodent infestations in Asda's stores, depots and living premises. Supervise the Pest Control technicians within regions ensuring all works are adhered to as per the Asda specification and Company Health & Safety policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Represent the company in a professional manner and develop a good working relationship with the IST and ASDA colleagues.
  2. Oversee the eradication of pest infestation within any Asda Red Stores as published on the Weekly Pest Control Report.
  3. Complete quarterly Quality Review visits (QR's) to ensure standards are being met within stores and depots and that all necessary paperwork and detailed reports are completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
  4. Manage the Pest Proofing Asset Plan in conjunction with the MTC, including compiling detailed specifications and signing all completed works off.
  5. Supervise and support delivery of the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  6. Supervise all other pest proofing works, ensuring competitive prices have been obtained and works are implemented correctly.
  7. Carry out full audits/inspections to new stores compiling detailed reports on any potential pest proofing issues.
  8. Supervise, monitor and control the work, attendance and timekeeping of the Pest Mate(s) to ensure quality standards and efficiency are maintained.
  9. Prioritize work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  10. Ensure all staff are aware of and understand company practices and procedures relating to Pest Control systems.
  11. Carry out inspections to concessions within ASDA stores.
  12. Order equipment & materials as per laid-down procedures.
  13. Ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete works are always available and serviceable.
  14. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Company.
  15. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and carrying out repairs as necessary.
  16. Be the primary contact for any operational issues and the point of escalation for teams should issues arise.
  17. Complete absence management paperwork and appraisals for Technicians within your area.
  18. Deliver training to the Technicians within your given area.
  19. Complete all work to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
  20. Carry out all tasks assigned within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and client.
  21. Be proficient in written and verbal communication, report writing, and recording procedures.
  22. Attend training courses as necessary and ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments.
  23. Ensure all mandatory Evolve online training modules are completed.
  24. Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  25. Work with company and ASDA colleagues to ensure that laid-down standards of quality are maintained.
  26. Represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop good working relationships with City and ASDA colleagues.
  27. Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the City Management Team.

Financial Responsibility:

  1. Carry out work in the most cost-efficient manner.
  2. Oversee a national pest proofing and materials budget divided among the five regions, managed by the Group Head of Pest with the assistance of the Pest Operations Manager.

People Responsibility:

  1. Manage regional PEST teams.
  2. Represent the company in a professional manner and develop good working relationships with technicians, Supervisors, Operations Manager and Head of Department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. GCSE Standard.
  2. Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diplomas Part 1 and 2.
  3. Experience in bird proofing work and fumigation services.
  4. PC literate.
  5. Experience within PEST control environment/industry.
  6. Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  7. Helpful/professional manner.
  8. Customer-focused.
  9. Self-motivated.
  10. A hands-on, can-do and flexible approach to work.
  11. Positive approach, able to work in a dynamic business environment, committed to outstanding customer service.

Specialist Requirements:

  1. Compile detailed photographic reports for NPCM & DTLM's.
  2. Degree of flexibility required; may be required to stay away from home.
  3. Current full driving licence.
