As an Environmental Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in various environmental initiatives, focusing on the collection, evaluation, and presentation of environmental data to support submarine projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with system owners to design compliant systems.
- Conducting environmental impact assessments and risk evaluations.
- Gathering evidence and preparing documentation to substantiate environmental claims.
- Assisting in net zero and carbon management initiatives.
- Engaging with stakeholders across different organizations to ensure platform requirements are met.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Knowledge of sustainability and environmental standards related to product development.
- Experience in environmental assessments and identifying lifecycle impacts.
- Ability to analyze environmental and technical data.
- Familiarity with net zero and carbon management strategies.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills to effectively communicate environmental information.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science or a related field.
Desirable:
- A broad understanding of Environmental Management Systems, Materials Technology, Environmental Legislation, and Disposal practices.
- Experience within the defense sector.
