Senior Care Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a reputable charity-owned care home in Sandown. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained, and residents receive the support they need to lead an active and independent life.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care, preferably with NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, and be medication trained. You will be responsible for administering medication, working collaboratively with the care team, and liaising with visiting professionals. Your excellent communication skills and ability to provide a quality service will make you an asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication to residents
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high standards of care
  • Liaise with visiting professionals, including GPs and other healthcare professionals
  • Support the care team in running the shift and providing hands-on support to residents
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Residential Care Home or Nursing Home
  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Senior Support Worker
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Medication training
