Role Overview
The Technical Specialist within our Paper and Packaging division plays a crucial role in delivering technical expertise to our team, clients, and suppliers. This position is both varied and engaging, offering opportunities to contribute to significant projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical aspects of the New Product Introduction process, overseeing projects from initial laboratory development to machine trials, including collaboration with suppliers and validation efforts.
- Manage daily laboratory operations to ensure high-quality service for both internal and external stakeholders, including liaising with external testing facilities.
- Provide operational assistance to the Paper division, focusing on mill chemistry, troubleshooting, and maintaining essential documentation such as CoSHH.
- Conduct technical investigations and generate comprehensive reports to support R&D and resolve process-related challenges.
Qualifications for Success
- A Bachelor's degree or HND in a scientific field, with A Levels in Chemistry and Maths (or equivalent).
- Experience in a laboratory or operational setting is preferred.
- A self-driven individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of adapting within a collaborative team environment.
