Regulatory Oversight Specialist

BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Asset Servicing Regulatory Oversight Specialist, Vice President to join our Asset Servicing Regulatory team in Manchester, UK. This is a hybrid role that requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze existing legislation, regulatory announcements, and industry practices to ensure compliance with first line of defense requirements.
- Support the business in developing adequate processes to meet compliance requirements and implement plans to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
- Review the articulation of controls and contribute to the development of action plans to address control weaknesses and enhancements.
- Support complex change projects and provide insight on the implementation of regulations and process improvements.
- Manage the Senior Management Regime framework (SMR) for UK Asset Servicing and drive the agenda for associated governance meetings.
- Own the framework for regulatory control, including evidencing compliance, supporting senior managers, and working to continuously enhance the control environment.
- Represent the business in legal entity control forums.
- Assist business unit managers in responding to reports issued by regulatory agencies or audit.
- Partner with senior management to ensure ongoing compliance and provide technical advice and guidance to less experienced team members.
- Experience handling complex documentation and business workflow.
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on change and improvement.
- Ability to review, challenge, and improve control processes, identifying data-driven solutions and opportunities for automation.
- Ability to think and execute quickly in a fast-moving environment with a proper risk lens and balance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical ability applied to regulatory matters.
- Experience in regulatory analysis or legal analysis in the financial services space is a plus.
