Job Title: Pediatric Nurse - Complex Care Specialist

Location: Oxford

Shifts: 20.00-08.00 Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday

Pay Rates (including holiday pay): Days £39.11 / Nights £43.94 / Weekends £48.95

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. As a Pediatric Nurse - Complex Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized care and support to young people with complex needs, including those with spinal muscular atrophy.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
• Provide education and training to young people and their families on complex care techniques and strategies.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to pediatric care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 months of UK-based experience in pediatric care.
• Proven expertise in tracheostomy care, ventilation, and other complex care techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to shift work.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.
