Night Hygiene Team Leader

We are excited to announce a newly established position within our Hygiene department at Cranswick Country Foods PLC. The successful applicant will spearhead a dedicated hygiene team, ensuring that our facility maintains the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the night shift. This role encompasses the overall management of the hygiene operations during the night, serving as the primary contact for all related tasks, challenges, and potential improvements.
Adhering to health and safety regulations while ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the hygiene team to guarantee that all cleaning assignments are executed as required, maintaining accurate records to demonstrate compliance.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure that all areas are upheld to optimal standards.
- Verify that all areas and equipment are thoroughly cleaned before returning them to production, addressing any discrepancies with the Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Monitor the concentration of cleaning agents to ensure they meet required specifications and take corrective measures when necessary.
- Conduct performance reviews and one-on-one meetings with Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Audit the cleaning processes of the night hygiene team alongside the Hygiene Team Leader to ensure compliance with established standards, providing guidance on expectations.
- Facilitate comprehensive training and maintain records for the hygiene personnel.
- Assist the Night Hygiene Manager in managing the inventory of energy, water, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
- Support the Night Hygiene Manager in ensuring that all relevant customer and legal standards are consistently met throughout the facility.
- Act as the main point of contact for all operational and engineering staff during night shifts to assist with any requests.

Additionally, you will participate in any training deemed necessary by the company to fulfill the responsibilities outlined above.
Working Hours: Shift pattern of 3 on, 1 off - 3 on, 7 off from 6:15 PM to 7:00 AM (flexibility around core hours is essential).
Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power BI), and the ability to foster positive relationships, promote team morale, and demonstrate energy and innovation.
