About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Lead to join our team and lead projects related to the discovery and development of new cutting-edge vaccines. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will work closely with biologists, computer scientists, and senior stakeholders to advance immunological research and develop innovative computational techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced computational methods to analyze and predict immune response factors using machine learning and statistical approaches.
  • Design and lead projects to develop novel vaccine candidates and proteins/antigens using computational tools and databases.
  • Collaborate with experimental teams to test and refine computational predictions and ensure alignment with the broader goals of the organization.
  • Craft and steer a long-term vision for the immunoinformatics division, ensuring strategic alignment and competitive edge.
  • Cultivate a dynamic team of computational biologists, providing mentorship and overseeing project milestones while promoting a cooperative work environment.
Requirements
  • MSc/PhD in a relevant scientific discipline such as Immunology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or Computational Biology.
  • Significant experience in immunoinformatics, preferably including leadership of projects, people, and strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced computational techniques, novel statistical methods, and large biological datasets.
  • In-depth understanding of traditional statistical and modern machine learning applications in immunological studies.
  • Comprehensive insight into the architecture and mechanics of antibodies.
  • Skilled in the use of computational tools and databases related to antigen identification and vaccine formulation.
  • Exceptional quantitative acumen, with a knack for strategic analysis and resolution of complex problems.
