Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estimator - Architectural Metalwork Specialist to join our team at Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd. As an Estimator - Architectural Metalwork Specialist, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed estimates for architectural metalwork projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out take-offs from drawings and measurements to produce bills of quantities/price schedules
  • Dealing with enquiries from various clients regarding architectural metalwork systems
  • Preparing and submitting accurate and detailed tenders within the timeframe provided
  • Following up all submitted tenders, receiving feedback from clients and updating records accordingly
  • Conducting handover meetings passing secured projects to our production team
  • Developing relationships with clients to secure further business
  • Liaising with colleagues to facilitate the progression of tenders and projects
  • Producing estimates for projects ranging from £1,000 to £3,000,000 in value

Requirements:

  • Must have estimating experience within the metalwork market sector, preferably in architectural metalwork
  • Experience dealing with structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking & sheet metalwork would be advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Driven, enthusiastic, comfortable working autonomously
